Bill Donovan
Bill "Gumby" Donovan is a retired firefighter and paramedic who has had speaking and acting roles in a couple of regional commercials. One in 2015 in a Cincinnati Bell Fioptics "Gig-a-life" commercial and one previously in a Goldstar Chili "Coney Crate" Commercial in 2003-2005 with fellow firefighters. In addition, over several years(1988-present) he has been featured in several local, regional and national TV(Travel Channel/FoodNetwork/Smithsonian)
programs for food demos and competitions. He has also been featured and published over the years in various magazines(Midwest Living, Chile pepper Magazine, Police & Fire Insurance Magazine)books(Chilimania Cookbook)and newspapers(locally and regionally). Recently aired 2/24/22 & 2/26/22 on the Food Network Channel covering the Annual World Chili Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina(9/22/21-9/24/21. The segment was called “Inside Chili Nation”. In addition, was used as an Extra to be a FBI agent in both “Reprisal”(Bruce Willis & Others) and “The Story of John Gotti Jr.” Also used as an Extra in Robert Redford’s “Old Man and a Gun”.
